How It Works

ConvertFree uses modern browser APIs and JavaScript libraries to process your files locally. When you select a file or paste content, everything is handled in-browser:

Files are read using the File API and processed with JavaScript
PDF operations use pdf-lib, a client-side PDF library
Image conversions use the Canvas API
Results are generated locally and downloaded directly to your device

No server-side processing, no uploads, no waiting in queues. Conversions are instant and completely private.

Why Free?

ConvertFree can be supported by a limited number of non-intrusive display banners on substantial content pages. Tool and policy pages stay ad-free, and advertising remains disabled until dedicated ConvertFree placements are approved. This model keeps every tool free with no hidden costs, sign-up, or watermarks.

ConvertFree is built with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It uses pdf-lib for PDF processing, JSZip for archive handling, and is hosted on Cloudflare Pages for fast, reliable global delivery. No frameworks, no bloat -- just fast, clean code.
